All Alone / What We've Been Up To
So it's been a while again. We went to a new schedule at church, and it's not a good schedule for blogging. Katie and the girls left for Idaho yesterday. They went for Coby and Hali's wedding. That leaves me here all alone for two weeks. I keep telling myself that it's better for me because I have two tests this week, and two next week, and that leaves me plenty of time to study. While I have had more time to study, it hasn't been fun for me. It just isn't the same without them here. They are having a fun time visiting our families though.
This is pretty much a nightly occurrence. We try to get Kayla to listen for Adella's bedtime stories, but she always ends up crawling around and being a distraction.
Both Adella and Kayla had a birthday! Adella turned 4, and Kayla turned 1. Katie was sick on Adella's birthday so she just had cupcakes.
I thought I would just put up some pictures of what's been going on in our life in the past month and a half.

We had a really fun trip to the beach. The water was a little chillier than normal, so we played in the sand and built a sand castle. When the tide went out we saw that there was a sand bar right where we were. The water was just above our ankles, and we had a blast. And yes, Kayla still eats the sand!
The Miami Metrozoo was having a really good deal on their passes, so we got a family pass. It is a really big zoo with a lot of cool animals. They also have a lot of statues of animals that the kids can play on. Katie's favorite part was the flamingos!

It's Been a While
Hmm, it's been quite a while since my last post. I'm having the same problem I did with my first post, what to write about. A lot has happened since my last post. We enjoyed our stay in Idaho. It was a lot of fun seeing our family and friends. We were at Katie's family's house for Christmas morning. I woke up pretty early, but since nobody else was up, I fell back asleep. The next time I woke up I looked over at the clock and didn't see anything. It turns out that there was a car that hit a power pole and knocked out the power! What an adventure! We used the little propane stove in their camper to make cinnamon rolls, and waited for the sun to come up a little so we could see to open presents.
My youngest brother, Coby, got engaged while we were there. Katie had helped him plan how he would propose, and we got to help trick her so she wouldn't know it was coming. It worked very well because she was totally surprised. They are getting married on March 13th, which is the same day I have a final in one of my classes. Katie is still going to try to go with the girls.
It didn't come back on until like 2:30 that afternoon. Katie's dad took the workers a plate of fudge to tell them thanks for working on Christmas morning. Adella got these from Santa, and notice that there are no lights lit on the Christmas tree. Kayla got this little bath toy, and loves it.

I have made it through the first two weeks of the semester. These classes are going to be challenging, like last semester, but I get to start learning about the eye!
I have a lot of pictures and stories to tell, but I think I will save some of them for a later post when I can't think of what to say.
